Located on the historic Aldasoro family ranch, Telluride Sleighs and Wagons offers guests an experience unlike anything before.

The Aldasoro Ranch was established in the early 1920s.  Originally from the Basque Country in northern Spain, our family immigrated to the San Juan mountains to supply lamb and wool to the nearby mining camps in the high mountains in Telluride.  Over the following decades, our family continued to live and ranch in the area while Telluride went through major changes.  From booming mining town to near extinction, and finally rejuvenated by the creation of the ski area, the Aldasoro family has stayed an important part of the community.

Since the Aldasoro ranch began development in the early 1990s the Aldasoro family maintained the core of the large property exclusively for the family.  This land with its spectacular views and rich history is being opened up to the public for the first time through our own version of the Sleigh Ride.

Afternoon Sleigh Rides

Experience the magic of a horse-drawn sleigh or wagon ride at the historic Aldasoro Family Ranch. Embark on a winter adventure with two daily rides, conveniently departing from the Telluride Court House at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Whether you're seeking a family outing or a romantic excursion, these sleigh rides are perfect for all ages. The price includes everything you need for a memorable experience - transportation, a picturesque sleigh ride, comforting hot drinks, and delectable s'mores, these rides DO NOT INCLUDE A MEAL. Snuggle under cozy blankets as you marvel at the breathtaking views, providing the perfect backdrop for an enchanting winter escape. Come, and let us transport you to a world of winter wonderland.

1:00 PM Sleigh Ride

$125 for adults, $100 for kids 4-12 years old, and $75 for kids 3 & under.

14-person max, private rides can be booked subject to availability

6 guest minimum for day rides.

• 1:25 PM- 1:30 PM Arrive at the Aldasoro Family Ranch

• 1:30 PM- 1:50 PM Sleigh ride with horses to winter sheep camp

• 1:50 PM- 2:20 PM Enjoy hot drinks around the campfire at our authentic sheep camp

• 2:20 PM- 2:35 PM Return sleigh ride with horses to transportation vehicle

• 2:55 PM Drop off at the Telluride Courthouse.

3:00 PM Sleigh Ride

Private Dinner Sleigh Rides

Telluride Sleighs and Wagons will be offering one private dinner sleigh ride a night Tuesday-Saturday. Each ride is limited to one group These private rides allow you and your guests to see an intimate part of Telluride only recently opened to the public. Come and experience an evening on the Aldasoro Family Ranch.

Rides take place with either a sleigh or a wagon depending on snow conditions.

5:30 PM Private Dinner Ride $1,500* for first 6 guests, base price, BYOB

$250 for additional adults, $150** for additional kids. 14-person max

• 5:30 PM Pick-up at a location of your choice

• 5:55 PM-6:00 PM Arrive at the Aldasoro Family Ranch

• 6:00 PM.-6:20 PM Sleigh ride with horses to dinner site 

• 6:20 PM- 6:30 PM Hot Drinks served around the fire

• 6:30 PM-7:45 PM Enjoy dinner at our authentic sheep camp

• 7:45 PM-8:10 PM Return sleigh ride with horses to transportation

• 8:30 PM Arrive at drop off location of your choice

If you have a baby or infant that you want to bring on the ride you must provide and install your own car seats.

All dinner rides are private and transportation will be coordinated with you ahead of time. Pick-up will be limited to one location.

Please dress warmly for the ride.  While dinner is served in a heated tent the sleigh ride will be outside in an uncovered sleigh or wagon. We have warm wool blankets for the sleigh ride. Coats, hats, and gloves are recommended, ladies are advised against skirts, and winter-ready footwear is a must! Dress in layers if you tend to get cold.

Our dinners are BYOB.

We have partnered with Mountain Village Wine Merchant to supply a curated wine selection with Sommelier Bryan Thames. These can be ordered ahead of your dinner and will be available on-site upon your arrival.

Cancellation Policy: All reservations are charged a $50 per person deposit. If this deposit was not collected at the time you made the booking, you will receive a separate email to collect it. If you do not complete the deposit, your reservation will be released. Deposits are refundable up to one week (7 days) before the reservation. Cancellations made less than 48 hours in advance or no-shows will be charged the full price of the reservation.

Are we already booked for your preferred date or time?

Our waitlist has moved to Tock, please search for the date and time you would like and then select Notify Me. You will be able to select multiple days at a time. We utilize this list to fill empty spots after any cancellations.
